Zohakiy Mbi-Njifor

ACTING DIRECTOR: BD & COMMS

Zohakiy Mbi-Njifor assumes the role of Acting Director: BD & Communications on a part-time basis. Her updated contract now encompasses responsibilities for Business Development, Marketing portfolios, grants management, and all externally facing activities, including a strategic conference approach.

As we fortify our senior leadership team, Zohakiy‘s primary focus will be positioning Shout for the CDC/PEPFAR follow-on grant and other funding opportunities. Emphasizing program impact, she aims to enhance Shout’s visibility at conferences and engage potential partners and donors.

Zohakiy will collaborate closely with BD Manager Sarah Reeves, Head of Marketing Zonja Penzhorn, and support Head of SIEL Nellisiwe in aligning conference visibility and stakeholder engagement. Both the BD Manager and Head of Marketing will report to the CEO with a dotted line to Zohakiy. The Head of SIEL will report to the CPO with dotted lines to the CEO and Zohakiy for the conference strategy.

Zohakiy will continue working with all relevant stakeholders, leveraging her 20+ years of experience in public health and international development. Her career includes roles such as Senior Advisor/Programs Director for Futures Group SA, Country Director for EngenderHealth SA and IPAS SA, and Head of Finance & Operations for Palladium Group SA.
